European Cybersecurity
for Bosnia and Herzegovina

- Jean Monnet Module -

About this project

The European Cybersecurity for Bosnia and Herzegovina (ECS4BIH) Jean Monnet Module is designed to transfer knowledge on EU cybersecurity strategies, principles, policies, and best practices and their relevance to Bosnia and Herzegovina to university students, academics, policymakers, civil society actors, and the wider public. The Module aims to promote excellence in teaching European cybersecurity to university students by integrating EU principles into interdisciplinary courses. It also seeks to advance research on European cybersecurity to contribute to EU studies. Additionally, the Module fosters knowledge exchange on cybersecurity in education, research, and policymaking by bringing together universities, governmental and non-governmental organizations, and industry. It further aims to generate knowledge and insights supporting EU cybersecurity policymaking while serving as a public diplomacy tool for Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The project's activities include the development and delivery of semester-long courses in European cybersecurity studies, taught in English at the International University of Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), for university students from Social Sciences and Humanities, and Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics disciplines. European cybersecurity topics will also be incorporated into other university courses and delivered through guest lectures. Beyond academic teaching, the project will include seminars, roundtables, workshops, and public lectures in English and Bosnian, bringing together local and EU stakeholders. The participants will discuss EU cybersecurity best practices and their application to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The knowledge generated throughout the project will be widely disseminated. Research outputs will be published in academic journals and an edited book, while the project's activities and outcomes will be shared via traditional and social media, a dedicated website, and social media channels.

This website has been created for the purpose of disseminating the project's materials.
